Here we come

Here we come to save the day
Always around and in the fray
Creepers and challengers come and go
But we fight on, in dust storms or snow

We are masters of funk, and people of fun
And one rule we hold is never run
We battle on even when cash is low
Or even when our cars start to slow

Crusaders of old are we
Battle worn fighters are what we be
We may not be as good as some
But our main theme is HAVING FUN!

We may hack but we don't overdo it
Unlike some hackers cars. Some really blew it!
And we don't use truck tires on a normal car
Or something just as bizarre

It seems I'm just crapping on
But hey that's cool, I just hope you haven't gone
I hope you see we are a cool gang

Make over for DEG-Saturday 3rd April 1999

Hey everyone

Today, I am officially changing DEG. I'm totally turning things around. This is now the DEG RPG [Dead End Gang Role Playing Group]. If you were already in DEG, or want to be, joining the RPG part is optional. RPG maps section will include all the maps that we will use for Scenarios, so when you need that certain map, go there and download it.

I have changed everything here, no more reports, no more hacks, stuff like that. We now specialise in Role Playing. The first DEG RPG map has been made, and is ready for use. We now need members. Please sign up today, if you are not already in a gang. Mission-Rescue is ready for a test scenario. I am setting up the accounts status page, and I am nearly ready to start the CENSORED TILL FURTHER NOTICE tourney, with Mustard Foot.

Hacks are no longer on the page. They will be distributed by ICQ to members. The thing that IS staying on this page, is the story page. I am not taking that down, because of the response from the people who have read my stories. If someone could host me, that would be good, for Geocities isn't living up to its hype, it wont let me upload some pictures etc.

I'm off to finish up a map etc, goodbye to you all.

Hey guys and girls.

I have just made a new map for the RPG. Its called Hot Pursuit, and is open to all classes of people [Creeper/Vigilante etc]. Here's the readme-

A new map by Groove [DEG-L]

Every one of my maps tells a story-Groove [DEG-L]

Map name: Hot Pursuit

Time: lots

Made for: RPG, or one player scenario [use the HP2 files for this]

Notes:

This map has no AI cars on it, but HP2 does. The reason for this is, so there is a net version, and a one player version. This is another map that will be used in the DEG RPG.

Scenario:

Vigilante/Creeper/Runner-

The cops are after you and you're running scared. Get across the border by any means, or you
could be in some serious trouble. If the cops catch you you're gone.

Police-

You're chasing a Vigilante/Creeper/Runner, and if you don't catch him, the chief wont be happy. So
catch him, and you'll get paid, don't catch him...and you wont get any money this week.

RPG notes:

Damage/Weight tables have been included [so the lighter the car, the more of a bonus you get etc]
This map is open to all class of people.

Money earning/bonuses-

Vig/Creeper/Runner-If you pass over the border you will win $1,500. Deduct any damage costs from
this total.

Police-Catch the crim and you will win $1,500. Deduct any damage costs from this total.

Catching/being caught-

To catch a criminal, you can use any method possible. Deadly Force will be administered at the Police Chiefs will. Other methods can include boxing in [forming a police car box around the criminals car], disabling the car [shooting/ramming the criminals car until the engine has gone. This is counted as disabling] etc.
If you are caught by the cops, you will lose $500.

New pics of story characters Monday 5th April 1999

I have been making some pics of the story characters. These are only a few of how many I'm going to do-

This one made for Jane 'Storm Maker' Langley, Groove's girlfriend.

And this one was made as a tribute to Scarlet, Killer99's dearly departed girlfriend. [Even though she's a fictional character, so what?!].

Groove and his infinite wisdom...

I haven't set any others up yet, as my screen capture programs have expired or don't work with smacker files. ie: Take a picture of Groove sitting in his Rahna during the intro, result-a horrible and messy picture that's unusable. If you have a registered screen grabber please send it in.

I haven't been doing much of late. I have been fixing up the map that will be a prize in the RPG and Mustardfoot's tourny...we are still not saying what it is :). We will soon though, so just hold on. I may not be around here for a while, as i need to get a new card for my ISP account. Every month i have to buy a pack, containing a card that will enable me to get online for a limited amount of hours, before i have to buy another card. My latest one has just expired. So i gotta go get a new one.

There is yet again a new character in the storys, and as soon as i can get hold of a picture thats similar enough i will use it. Well thats it from me you lot. I'll be back soon, later dudes and dudettes!

A big hello to everyone out there..

My update poses a question...why doesnt anybody believe that i have done my own artwork? Look at this picture..what does it tell you? Does this look like my own work? [the small picture that is]...

If you dont believe this is my own work, it is. The bigger picture WAS taken from a Neon Genesis: Evangelion site originally. I cut out the girls face and changed the shoulders, hair and backround. Someone [i wont name names] reckons that im ripping other people's work off! Im not. If he believes that-he can. I'll let him live his own sheltered little life.

Im back and this time-im happy Friday 9th April 1999

Yo everybody!

I have just made the new backround image-what do you think? I wanted to stay with the I'76 theme so i used the various oranges. Truths is getting to be bigger than i thought. Its not just a story now-its my job really. I am up to the 10th [and maybe the last] chapter. This thing is HUGE! It is way better than Back Then... which i thought i would never top, but Truths is excellent. Ive put up a guestbook [which will hopefully work], a pics page and a maps page is following. This site is more compact than the earlier one, which makes more room for improvement as in pictures, layout etc. Geocities doesn't seem to be so picky with my filenames now, which makes things even better.

I played Need For Speed-High Stakes on my friends playstation yesterday. I am definitely getting it on my comp. It was absolutley fantastic! The developers really have captured the cars shapes, especially the Ford XR8, and Holden HSV-2 very cool cars. The Hot Pursuit mode is better than ever, and damage has been added. You a cop? Roll your car and your lights fall off the roof, belt someone in the back? The bumper smashes in. Personalised number plates add a touch of class as well. This has proven to be an excellent game. I just hope it runs without a 3D card fairly well.

The tourney is shaping up properly with a few applicants for beta testers already joined up. We need about 4 more people though. Wanna help? Gimme a call on the DEG mail, not my mail. Im thinking of putting up a message board if i can, and that in itself should be some fun.

Well- i have to finish Truths and try to fix some old maps i found. I should have a new one soon, but it won't be available for a while. Later guys!

Oh geez...Tuesday 13th April 1999

Hey guys and girls.

Ive just come home from my friends place after a 24hr, no sleep, sleep over. It was quite fun but now it seems to be catching me. Ive just done some pictures too. I'm making some advertisments for my stories. Have a look at the one i have done and see if you like it. I will have my picture conversion page up soon, so look out for a link to it, if you have any pictures or anything you want fixed/converted/changed. I'm off again-gotta finish Death Track. Later!

This is not all my own work. Someone has done the picture of the girl, but i have converted it.
